This page explains privacy rights that may be available to visitors under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the United Kingdom GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar privacy laws.

The rights available to you depend on where you live, the nature of the information involved, and the law that applies to your request. This page supplements the Cookify Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how information may be handled when you use cookify.biz.

1. Information Covered by This Statement

Depending on how you use Cookify, information associated with you may include:

Image files that you choose to upload and the converted files produced at your request.
Technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, requested URL, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.
Cookie identifiers, consent choices, and similar information when cookies or comparable technologies are used.
Information you voluntarily provide when contacting Cookify, such as your name, email address, message, and any attachments you send.
Information processed by service providers that support hosting, security, analytics, advertising, or other website functions.

Cookify does not require you to create an account to use the currently available conversion tools. Please avoid uploading confidential, highly sensitive, or regulated material when an online conversion service is not appropriate for that information.

2. How Uploaded Files Are Handled

Uploaded files are processed to perform the conversion you request and to make the result available for download. Files may be held temporarily during upload, conversion, delivery, troubleshooting, security review, or automated cleanup.

Cookify is not a file-storage or backup service. Keep your original file and download the converted result promptly. The exact processing and retention period may vary because of file size, system load, technical failures, hosting configuration, backup practices, or security requirements.

Uploaded files are not intended to be used for unrelated marketing. Additional information about file handling and retention is provided in the Privacy Policy.

3. Legal Bases Under the GDPR

When the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, Cookify may process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

Performance of a service requested by you: to receive an uploaded file, perform the selected conversion, and provide the output.
Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the website; prevent abuse; and understand general service performance, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Consent: when consent is required for optional cookies, personalized advertising, or similar technologies. You may withdraw consent through the available cookie controls, although withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it.
Legal obligations: when information must be processed or retained to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal request, or protect legal rights.

The applicable legal basis depends on the feature and the circumstances in which information is processed.

4. Rights for EEA and UK Visitors

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to:

Request access to personal data associated with you.
Ask for inaccurate or incomplete personal data to be corrected.

If a request cannot be fulfilled, Cookify will provide an explanation when required by law.

5. Rights for California Residents

If the CCPA/CPRA applies to you, you may have the right to:

Request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you.
Request information about the sources, purposes, and categories of third parties involved in collecting, using, selling, or sharing personal information.
Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information when those activities occur as defined by California law.
Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information when that right applies.
Receive equal service and not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

Cookify does not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, privacy laws may define “sale” or “sharing” more broadly than an exchange of money. If advertising or analytics technologies are used for cross-context behavioral advertising, some transfers of identifiers or activity data to partners may be treated as sharing under California law.

Where an opt-out right applies, you may use the cookie choices made available on the website or contact Cookify using the address below. Disabling cookies in your browser may also limit some technologies, but browser settings may not control every form of processing.

6. Advertising, Analytics, and Consent Choices

Cookify may use third-party services for functions such as website measurement, security, hosting, or advertising. These providers may process technical information or identifiers under their own terms and privacy policies.

When consent is legally required before an optional cookie or advertising technology is activated, Cookify will seek that consent through the available consent interface. You can change or withdraw a choice through the available cookie settings. The options shown may vary by region and by the services active on the website.

Third-party browser extensions, privacy settings, or opt-out tools may also affect advertising and analytics technologies. Cookify cannot guarantee how an external tool or provider will interpret those settings.

7. Submitting a Privacy Request

In your message, identify the right you want to exercise and provide enough information to help locate data reasonably associated with your use of Cookify. Do not send a password, government identification number, financial information, or a copy of a sensitive image unless Cookify specifically explains that it is necessary through an appropriate process.

Because most converter use does not require an account, Cookify may have limited ability to connect technical records or temporary files to a particular person. In some cases, there may be no information that can reasonably be verified as belonging to the requester.

8. Verification and Authorized Agents

Cookify may take reasonable steps to confirm your identity and the scope of your request before providing, correcting, or deleting information. The verification method will depend on the type and sensitivity of the information involved.

If applicable law allows an authorized agent to make a request for you, Cookify may ask for evidence of the agent’s authority and may contact you directly to confirm the request. Information supplied for verification will be used for handling and documenting the request.

9. Response Timing and Appeals

Cookify aims to respond within the period required by applicable law. Additional time may be needed for a complex request or multiple requests, where the law permits an extension. You will be informed when an extension or additional information is reasonably necessary.

If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a decision concerning your privacy request, you may submit an appeal by replying to the response or by emailing support@cookify.biz with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.

10. Service Providers and International Processing

Cookify may use providers located in different countries to support hosting, security, file processing, analytics, communication, or advertising. As a result, information may be processed outside the country where you live.

Where required, Cookify will rely on an appropriate legal mechanism or other safeguards for covered international transfers. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was processed, including providing the requested conversion, maintaining security, resolving technical problems, complying with legal obligations, and establishing or defending legal claims.

Different categories of information may have different retention periods. Temporary uploaded or converted files, server logs, cookie records, and contact messages do not necessarily follow the same schedule.

12. Children’s Privacy

Cookify is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner prohibited by applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes that a child submitted personal information may contact support@cookify.biz to request a review.

13. Updates to This Statement

This statement may be updated when Cookify’s practices, providers, features, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the website when appropriate.
